The 6th and second last stop of the Euro Tour was played in Switzerland. 212 participants competed in the two venues in Frauenfeld and Weinfelden.

In group D, I had a walk-through and then had to play Mohammed Yassin from Germany. After a cautious start, I gained control over the match and could benefit from two fouls made by my opponent to finally win 9-4. In my next match against the solider of the sports battalion of the German army Philip Rüthemann, I could even improve my performance and won 9-5. To qualify for the final round, I had to win against G. Menillo from Switzerland. Another good match, an undisputed 9-3 and I was qualified for the KO bracket of the last 32 players.

Now, I had the chance to take my revenge for my first round defeat at the World Games. My opponent was, as several weeks ago, the Greek player Evangelos Vettas who plays for the German team Dachau. But this time, I did a better job and entered the next round by winning 9-6. But, as so often during these last two years, this was my last win. In spite of a good performance, I could not win against Englishman Imran Majid. Three fruitless breaks, a bad contact between the cue ball and the object ball, a foul which was not given when my opponent missed a jump shot, all this was too much to win the match. After my early 3-1 lead, I lost 5-9. In the overall rankings, I lost two spots from 4 to 6.

Other German players had the better end and after a long period of lack of success, they dominated this Eurotour event. In the semi-finals, Thomas Engert defeated his opponent Thorsten Hohmann 9-6 and the third German player Andreas Roschkowsky won 9-4 against Majid.

The final was a tight match until the end. Finally Thomas Engert from Düren won 9-7 and confirmed his current excellent shape, after his title in Benidrom two weeks ago. In the overall rankings, Engert jumped from 11 to 4, and runner-up Roschkowsky improved from 9 to 5. Niels Feijen (NED) is still leading, followed by Sandor Tot (HUN) and Marcus Chamat (SWE).
