NEWS - 04-11-05 BCA Trade Expo – Disappointing number of visitors |

At this year’s BCA Trade Expo in Las Vegas, I acted as the players representative for my table sponsor Gabriels/Loontjens. During three days, I played against visitors and potential customers visiting the expo. Useless to say that this has nothing to do with a normal tournament. People talk and discuss, explain the product and try to make it attractive for the prospect. This year again, I had a lot of fun, even if one is really exhausted in the evening. There is no tension as during a tournament and people take the time to laugh. But my sponsor will only know in a couple of weeks if the expo has been successful or not. I could benefit from the occasion to establish new contacts and to push new ideas. In so far, I will keep a good memory of this expo and anyway, Las Vegas is always worth the trip. One gets to know new and interesting people and sees some new business ideas. The only drawback, however, was the dramatically reduced number of visitors as compared to the previous year – at least, this way my personal impression. |
