participants competed at the 4th tournament of the Diamond 9 Series in
Weert, Netherlands.
The House of Billiards was once more the host of a European top event and
offered excellent conditions.
After
a walk-through, my first opponent was D. Jansen from Geldern. I could
control the junior player 9-4 and then defeated Dutchman A. Bakker with
the same result.
I lost my next match against R. Hauge from Norway 3-9 and had to go to the
losers bracket. Here I played B. Beekers (NED), who had previously
defeated E. Weiselius (SWE). After trailing at the beginning, I found my
way back into the match and won 9-3 to enter the final round.
The
draw made me play M. Erculj from Slovenia and I won the tight match 9-8.
In the second KO round, I played again R. Hauge from Norway. I did not
take my revenge, since I made too many easy mistakes. I lost again 4-9 and
finished on rank 9.
